The weather has been wintry for a while, but coming to rest was not really possible. The time when there will be more often space for relaxation and reflection, but also for thoughts and new ideas, is only now slowly beginning: we take our winter break! At this point, we would like to wish everyone a reflective Christmas season and/or a good winter solstice and/or a good slide into 2011. The new year will bring some innovations that will affect us THC enjoyers - let's stay together! We will hear and/or see each other. And/or write us something. From 21 January we are again well to reach.
There is a lot to do: In the wiki, errors have to be found and ironed out, the ToDo list should be kept up to date and made palatable to active people as a field of activity. In addition, the project Shit happens in its 8th edition slowly becomes more concrete. Last but not least, this is the last meeting before the holidays and, as every year, we like to sit back and review the experience together.
At Legalize it! 54 we are still at it: entering final corrections, printing, collating, stapling and folding. Then on Friday, Dec. 3, we will pack and mail it with the accompanying letters. Helping are always welcome!
The handling of cannabis in California has been an issue for us for a long time. The (lost) vote on Nov. 2 gives us once again the opportunity to put the facts on the table, to have them explained by knowledgeable members and to discuss, among other things, the parallels to the situation in Switzerland. For the preparation on Nov. 19, too, of course, but especially for the event, we cordially invite our members to be present - you are welcome to take an interested person with you.
We are currently in the process of combing through our wiki for errors. In addition, new information has to be added on an ongoing basis. The wiki is growing slowly, but steadily - we have to keep up with it. Interested people are welcome to get to know this project and to join in.

After last Friday's lively discussion about future political processes, we are turning again to a somewhat drier but equally important topic: finances. The board does not mind if members and interested parties lighten the mood a little…
We devote a whole evening to the current political events - above all the fines. But also the regulations on the revised NarcA and a parliamentary initiative might come up. See also last week's entry. We warmly welcome our members!
We are preparing our members' event on 29.10. In the meantime, something has happened: As announced on 15.10., the commission of the National Council(SGK-N) has decided in principle for the introduction of a fixed penalty system (e.g. NZZ). But as so often, much remains open and each step takes time. We are gathering the information and preparing it so that we have an overview by the end of the month!
On 13.10. the commission of the national council seems to discuss the fixed penalties to talk - so we should have some new information next Friday. This topic will also keep us busy during the rest of the month. In addition to discussing these ideas, we will have time for a peaceful evening.
After all, our wiki has been our web portal since Sept. 5 - so if you go to www.hanflegal.ch, you'll get to the home page of our wiki. The club pages are the same as the old homepage. There are still some fixmes and the wiki is growing slowly, but it is growing - we have to keep at it! Interested people are welcome to get to know this project.
After two months, we want to bring our financial database back up to date and look at the state of our cash flows. A dry topic, we know. The booking board is therefore looking forward to nice members who let him do this dry work - and cheer him up a bit to do so.
The partially revised NarcA will soon come into force. We are looking at the schedule and the main changes in detail. On the 17th we will prepare this member event, on the 24th it will take place. Our members are invited for both evenings.
From 5.9. the wiki is our web portal - so if you go to www.hanflegal.ch you will get to the start page of our wiki. The club pages correspond to the old homepage. The wiki is not only more comprehensive, but also avoids duplications. On 10.9. we will not only edit our wiki for the first time, but also our web portal. Interested people are welcome!
The Legalize it! 53 will be printed soon and next Friday, 3.9. probably the mailing will take place. Helpers are always welcome!
On Friday, 8/27 we will start again after the summer break. We'll see how we did in the sun and plan for the rest of this year. We look forward to finally seeing many members again!

Now begins the big Legalize itsummer break. During this time we do not hold any board meetings on Fridays and do not give any information by phone. However, we can be reached by e-mail and cell phone from time to time. In addition, we will use the time to have individual conversations with the most important supporters - because next year the printing of the 8th edition of our legal aid brochure is coming up. Shit happens is coming up. For this, if it is to appear like the 6th edition, we need around 20,000 francs… And they have to be organized at some point.
We wish you a nice summertime! From 27.8. we can be reached again normally.
On 7/2, we will do our mid-year wrap-up. The board is looking forward to motivating members to cheer it up with positive vibes while chopping numbers.
At the end of the first half of 2010, we will hold our member event of 25.6. as an Easy Evening. A year ago, this has already proven itself, so now follows the second edition.
In the city of Zurich, a postulate of the Young Greens from 2006 was passed by the parliament with 67 votes in favor and 49 against. It is about the legal sale of THC products. The whole thing is to be accompanied scientifically and the protection of minors is to be included. The government now has two years to examine the matter - so nothing will happen quickly. Internationally there is a lot going on in the direction of decriminalization/legalization of THC products. Raphael has done research and is making a presentation on the current international hemp situation. He is supported by Sh., who was able to personally look at the situation there in the USA.

The finances are on the program on 7.5. We will track the database and post the payments. Anyone who wants to give moral support to the board, which is so busy, is welcome.
Until the end of the month we will use our USB microscope and look at the glitter of nature in magnification. So the members' event on 30.4. will be about pictures and movies.
The CannaTrade 2010 is over. Thanks to our young & motivated active members we can already chalk it up as a success - not only new members were found, but also interested people, some of whom will hopefully become members.

The Legalize it! 51 is printed and the mailing will take place on Friday, March 5. Helpers are as always welcome.
On Friday, 26.2. the first member event of this year will take place. We will take a look at the political situation one year after the vote on the hemp initiative. It has become quieter around the topic of hemp, but there are still some political initiatives on the way. What do they want to achieve? What chances do they have? What can we do to make a difference?
A call: We do not yet have a summary penalty orders in our collection for 2009. If you have received one, or know someone who has received a bus: We are very happy to receive some such documents! You can send us your fine by mail, or you can send them by post to Legalize it!, Quellenstrasse 25, 8005 Zürich. We anonymize all documents that we publish. Thank you very much for your help!
Friday, 2/12 will be our first wiki session of the year.
After we were able to release the basic pages in fall 2009, we would now like to proceed to the expansion of our wiki with new content.
If you don't know our wiki yet - have a look! It contains a wealth of information that we have collected and organized over the past year.
Our general meeting went smoothly and in a convivial atmosphere. The annual accounts have been approved and the annual report has been taken note of. Sven and Fabian were unanimously confirmed as board members for another year. We are looking forward to another club year!

Second last Friday of the month: we need this evening to research new topics. We will also use our microscope more. In addition, we organize our member events here.
