From the Seki (LI71)

In the member mailing from the beginning of August 2015, I wrote a summary about the cases concerning hemp seed imports. I was able to make a statement about this on “tvo”, you can find the video at www.hanflegal.ch/tvo.

Our 9Shit happens is now two years old, almost all copies are out, we have released three extensions. Now the question arises for a revised 10th edition. But for this I would have to be able to work for half a year without financial worries…

The second part of our major donation collection 2015 is underway: Many thanks to all who have pledged or already paid in a large donation! The status: 11'445 francs have been collected so far, so we still need about 3'500 for this year. Will we make it? It will be close, but it is possible. So, if you haven't paid yet and you can: www.hanflegal.ch/spende will lead you to our IBAN account number.

In the Tages-Anzeiger, Hugo Stamm wrote an article worth reading on August 10, 2015, in which the strange entanglements of the hemp opposition from the SVP with sect-like and ultra-conservative groups are illuminated. Really creepy.

Finally, an info for those who plan longer ahead: The CannaTrade will take place again in one year, from 2 to 4 September 2016 in Dietikon.

Social media for hemp legalization

A report from our social media group: Since the beginning of May 2015, we from the association Legalize it! are also present in the social medias, more precisely on Facebook and Twitter. Several members have agreed to take over this area together. We would like to introduce you to our Facebook and Twitter admins a bit and briefly tell you something about us.

Currently, four of us are responsible for the Facebook presence and one person has taken over Twitter. We range in age from 19 to over 40 and live in the cantons of Zurich, Thurgau and Solothurn: spread across Switzerland. We decided to take this step in order to accelerate the legalization and because we came to the realization that we can't do without social media.

Our social media work mostly consists of finding posts (texts, pictures, videos) on the net, reading through and rating them, and then “posting” them on our pages if we found them interesting enough. As you probably noticed, we don't post articles in English, because we assume that not everybody knows English. If you would like to see articles in English, we will be happy to “post” them as well.

We would like to thank everyone who has “liked” our page and also those who haven't but visit our page from time to time. We know that the topic of smoking pot and cannabis is still a touchy subject in our society. We also understand if someone doesn't want to declare themselves online as a supporter or advocate of the association Legalize it! But we think it's about time to step out of the dark and stand by it.

Since we're a bit understaffed on Twitter right now, we'd be happy to have you contact the association if you're interested in Twitter activities.
