Information from the Association Legalize it! (October 2024)

Another year is slowly drawing to a close. Here is what we still have planned:

• Next Friday, November 1st, our hemp info event will take place (see below).
• Our last meeting in 2024 will also take place on November 15 (see below).
• We will then produce the 104th issue of our Legalize it! The mailing is scheduled for December 6.

Due to the preparations for our hemp info event, we will only be available to a very limited extent on Friday, November 1st. In the evening we will be at the Volkshaus. You are still welcome to register for this.

The A2 posters for our information event on November 1 at the Volkshaus Zurich are now up. So the time will soon be here…

• If you would still like to distribute flyers (A5), we can send you some of the last copies.
• If you would like to take part in our event, please register.

• Anyone carrying up to 10 grams of weed or hash for their own consumption at Swiss customs will be waved through, for example at Zurich airport. This also seems to be the case for postal consignments to Switzerland, at least we have not seen any more reports of such small quantities. If you do know of such cases, please let us know. But beware: Export from Germany, for example, is prohibited. If German customs find a few grams, this will lead to criminal proceedings (whether import or export).
• The “Cannabis Regulation” sub-commission appears to be slowly concluding its deliberations. The next meetings will take place on October 31 and November 22. It is still unclear whether the subcommittee will pass on its findings to the “mother” commission SGK-N at that time or whether it will take a few more months. From the end of the year, there will therefore be many texts to read on a new approach to cannabis. Anyone who would like to discuss these with us is welcome to get in touch.
