Our office was/is only occupied on Fridays in July, but we still have some interesting and important information.

The National Council's Social Security and Health Committee (SSHC-N) discussed the draft for a new Cannabis Products Act again on July 3-4 (item 20.473).

It has now completed its work and the consultation process is due to begin at the end of August.

It is asking the National Council to extend the deadline for dealing with the matter by a further two years. Press release of the SGK-N of 4.7.25

We will post the links for the PDFs on our hanflegal.ch/en as soon as we know them. Anyone who would like to have the texts on paper (we expect around 150 pages) is welcome to contact the secretariat.

If you want to take part in the discussion, you should read these texts (draft Cannabis Products Act, explanatory report, any other documents) as soon as possible after publication.

Our policy group will prepare for this at the next meeting on August 8 and begin formulating our consultation response on September 12. Anyone wishing to take part should have read the documents by then so that we can discuss the whole thing properly.
