08.10.2024 – Some current legal and political information

• Anyone carrying up to 10 grams of weed or hash for their own consumption at Swiss customs will be waved through, for example at Zurich airport. This also seems to be the case for postal consignments to Switzerland, at least we have not seen any more reports of such small quantities. If you do know of such cases, please let us know. But beware: Export from Germany, for example, is prohibited. If German customs find a few grams, this will lead to criminal proceedings (whether import or export).
• The „Cannabis Regulation“ sub-commission appears to be slowly concluding its deliberations. The next meetings will take place on October 31 and November 22. It is still unclear whether the sub-commission will then pass on its findings to the „parent“ commission SGK-N or whether it will take a few more months. From the end of the year, there will therefore be many texts to read on a new approach to cannabis. Anyone who would like to discuss these with us is welcome to get in touch.
