===== 05.05.2026 – 30 years Shit happens ===== In **spring 1996, we published the first edition** of our legal overview [[en:rechtshilfe/shit_happens|Shit happens]]. In the 30 years since then, we have constantly dealt with the [[en:thc_recht/start|prosecution of cannabis]] in Switzerland. We have collected [[en:thc_recht/strafbefehle|summary penalty orders]], provided [[en:rechtshilfe/rechtsauskuenfte|legal information]] to those affected and graphically presented [[en:thc_recht/statistik|the number of convictions]]. **In 2025, there were still almost 20,000 cannabis-related offenses reported.** Although fewer than before (the peak was over 70,000 per year), many people are still affected by prosecution of hemp every year. Especially now in spring, [[en:thc_recht/samenverfolgung|hemp seed orders]] are an issue, and there are constant inquiries about [[en:thc_recht/autofahren|THC and road traffic]].
